Happy Friday my friend

Hello,

Is it just me, or do the weeks fly by?

One minute it's Monday morning and I am doubling up on Starbucks, and the next, we're gearing up for a Friday movie night, wondering if there are enough snacks in the cupboard and ice in the freezer.

How was your week?

I genuinely love hearing from you, so do share your stories and updates!

To all my new subscribers, a warm welcome to my newsletter, I am so happy you are here. And to my regulars, your support means everything – thank you so much!

Now, onto some exciting news, which I think many of you have heard whispers about. My dream project, YOMU Magazine, is set for its big debut in Spring 2024.

'YOMU', meaning 'to read' in Japanese, is a homage to my time in Tokyo where I started my career as an English teacher in 1996. Those days, filled with the energy of Ginza and the tranquillity of city temples, have deeply influenced YOMU's creation and will embody the publication's spirit.

Writing has always been my passion, from blogging to publishing three books, and contributing to the press for many years and the YOMU will fill a gap in that missing that creative outlet.

However, this is more of a hobby; it's an ambitious print and digital venture into the £1.8 trillion global wellness market and it's giving people the power of information.

We're talking real, science-backed information, insightful reviews, and interviews that dive deep into wellness topics. As a health campaigner who has seen the transformative power of media in creating awareness, providing credible sources, and offering support and hope, I understand the profound impact YOMU can make.

Throughout my journey, I've learned that accurate and empathetic information can empower, enlighten, and even save lives. That’s why YOMU is committed to not just reporting on wellness but being a trusted companion in our readers' health and wellness journeys.

I aim to bring clarity in a world often clouded by misinformation, offering not just news, but a platform for support, credible advice, and genuine hope.

The business plan is set, content ideas are brewing, and I'm in talks with experts, brands, and other magazine founders. The first issue is April 2024, and I'm excited about the global interest it's garnering, from America to Japan, Australia, and the UK.

YOMU will offer advertising, sponsorship, and subscription opportunities, giving you a chance to join a significant health and wellness conversation.

I will still be teaching people to get into the press, and my clients are doing this every day, but I am now adding my own media outlet into the mix, and that feels awesome.

As I always say, "Let’s go big, or go home," and YOMU embodies this philosophy.

I invite you to join this incredible journey and whether you’re interested in contributing, being an expert columnist, advertising, or being a valued reader, there's a place for you in YOMU.

I will be honest, I felt the fear of launching a magazine and wondered what people might think, but as I often tell my clients, 'go big or go home" so here I am, diving in and making things happen.

I will be back to our regular press tips next week, but for now, if you're keen to get involved with YOMU, hit reply – I can't wait to hear from you.

Have a fantastic weekend, and let's catch up soon!

Natalie
